List of batsmen to score most century in consecutive test matches

Gone are the days of Don Bradman, so is the great Australian but his records still stand tall in International test cricket today..

Now that he's form ever dried up, Don Bradman who finished with 99.96 as batting average, was in ultra form from first day of new year 1937 through to middle of 1938 when he played 6 tests, all against England and scored a century in all of them. In the list below you see Bradman's scores in each innings of those six tests which gives him record of most century in consecutive test matches by any batsman.

Bradman was absent (hurt) in next test match at the Oval in which England made 903/7d and didn't come out to bat and hence his incredible form was broken.

Mohammad Yousuf of Pakistan was in superb form himself back in year 2006, nearly broke the record of most runs in a calender year and finished with 5 test century in back to back tests (2 in England and 3 at home against West Indies). Yousuf didn't play the next test match, on South African tour, and then made 32 and 18 in his next test and his rhythm was broken.

Jacques Kallis of South Africa, who currently has 33 test century, 5 of those were made in successive tests, four against West Indies and then one against New Zealand back in year 2004. Kallis made 40 and 71 in his 6th test and missed equalling Bradman's record.

Gautam Gambhir of India recently entered this elite list of consecutive test centuries, touched the feet with his 5th ton running against Bangladesh after hitting 3 figure scores against New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh but couldn't match Brad Man's feat after scoring just 12 and 1 against South Africa at Nagpur.

4 consecutive test centuries has been made by no less than 14 times before, twice by Don Bradman and Mathew Hayden of Australia as well as Ken Barrington of England and once each by Jack Fingleton of Australia, Neil Harvey of Australia, Sir Everton Weekes of West Indies, Sir Clyde Walcott of West Indies, Sunil Gawaskar of India, Rahul Dravid of India, Jacques Kallis of South Africa and Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka but now, Sachin Tendulkar has made 4 tons in a row himself but since his sequence is unbroken, he's been given a mention in following list..
