On Monday, 27th Dec 2010, Rahul Dravid became the first cricketer to take 200 Catches in Test cricket during the 2nd India-South Africa Test at Durban when he took a stunning catch at slip of Dale Steyn. Dravid took a full-length dive to his left and held a one-handed stunner, landing behind wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, with the ball almost flying past his outstretched fingers. Dravid, with 149 Tests, is at the top the list of the most number of catches in Test cricket. Former Australian opener Mark Waugh is at No. 2 with 181 catches from 128 Tests, followed by Australian skipper Ricky Ponting (174). Dravid who is nicknamed as "The Wall" for his work with the Bat is also known for his safe pair of hands behind the stump at slip. He has also been a handy Wicket-Keeper for the Indian ODI side for some time and played a major role in success of spinners like Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh's for more than 10 years. Dravid with a total of 12,025 runs in 149 matches holds 3rd position in the list of top run-scorers in Tests.
